Example of a Planned Graphic Recording
Graphic Recording is the art of visualizing and illustrating a message or concept to help convey it to an audience. A presentation will easily have greater impact, increased interest and data retention if accompanied with visuals. That's where we coming in!
There's basically a couple of approaches to this, depending on your format, venue, or audience.
Live Graphic Recording is where an artist, or artists are right there with you, knocking out hand drawings and text while the presentation, thoughts or ideas are unfolding. These aren't perfect, usually a looser and rougher display of Graphic Recording. This is ideal for Brainstorming or Spitballing sessions during employee workshops or team building gatherings. The artwork produced here can later be reworked and refined for future use. This can be done traditionally with markers on large drawing pads and white eraser boards, or digitally using iPads or other electronic tablets connected to larger TV or projector displays.
Planned Graphic Recording is when we (the artists) meet with you (the client) to discuss and design the overall look for this presentation prior to an event. Each visual element will be approved by you to properly convey the message you're wanting to get across. The end piece, an animated video produced digitally, can be designed to unfold precisely with audio you provide. Perhaps you plan a keynote or presentation at a conference or expo and would like the graphic recording unfolding during it in the background, as if being drawn live. We can help craft the visuals all ahead of time to perfection, then just play the completed video(s) during the presentation. The same video(s) with audio included can later be distributed broadly for repeat viewing.
